Company Profile:

History:

  • The company was first Established in June 1989 as a family-owned private company
  • Management of the company comprises of the following members of the CC:
    • Hazel Cheetham (Retired)
    • Steven Cheetham (Managing Member)
    • Fred Cheetham (Buy-back Centre Operations Manager, Off-site Scrap Management Facilitator)
    • Mark Cheetham (Mechanical)
    • Wayne Cheetham (Electrical)
  • Initially hired premises were converted for sorting & recycling purposes
  • We converted locally purchased machinery and equipment to use for recycling purposes
  • Production levels increased from 20 tons to over 700 tons per month
  • Later we owner-built two adjoining specialised buildings to our recycling specifications
  • We have since purchased a third building for sorting, storage & processing of non-hazardous plastic scrap materials
  • All our plant, equipment & machinery are custom-made for the purpose and imported from overseas suppliers.
  • The plant and machinery adaptations for local conditions are done in-house to our own specifications and design.
  • We remain the largest independent, privately-owned recycler in South Africa


Customer Base:

Our customer base has dramatically increased to include the smallest to the largest Plastic Converters in the country as well as other recyclers.

Socio-Economic Development


We currently sponsor some of the 810 children at the three Primary Schools' Reading Centres and would encourage other businesses/groups to do the same or to seek opportunities to open a Reading Centre at a school of their own choice.
